There’s something very exciting about these Indian wood blocks – they’ve gracefully weathered time, passed down through generations, creating a tangible connection to history.

Now, here’s where the magic happens: imagine that same block, once brought to life in India, now finding its purpose in creating art right here in my studio in Brighton.

My lovely student Ana @theflowerpotuy has worked her creative mojo, turning these blocks into beautiful fabric samples that tell a story of craftsmanship and tradition.

What fascinates me is the incredible journey from India to my studio in England and then all the way over to Uruguay with Ana, where the history will travel and continue to unfold. A truly international journey!
