This one-to-one fully customised course is the perfect introduction to traditional or modern lampshade making. You’ll have the opportunity to make a lampshade of your choice, alongside any questions about techniques or skills you would like to know. In addition, I am always delighted to share my knowledge and experience in running craft businesses, and if you are looking to start your own business we can spend time discussing the important aspects you’ll need to know. We’ll discuss anything from creating a lampshade collection, how to price, selling wholesale, selling to retailers, finding your ideal clients to marketing and the importance of branding.
During this workshop, you’ll learn to make one lampshade from the following choices…

- Pleated lampshade
- Gathered lampshade
- Modern drum lampshade and create templates for tapered shades
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take a fully finished shade home to add the perfect touch to your interiors. You’ll also be taking home your new insights into the world of lampshade making, learnt during this rewarding and invaluable session.

All one-to-one course dates are individually booked and do not have fixed dates to allow maximum flexibility. You can choose the day that suits you the most so please email or call us with your availability to arrange a mutually convenient date. We try to be as flexible as possible, so that you can fit the workshops in with your home life and work commitments.
