Creating hand printed fabrics is a rewarding process allowing you to transform your home accessories and interiors into something unique and if you ever wondered how to design and print your own fabric then this introduction course is the ideal one for you.

This course will not only give you the opportunity to learn a new skill but will also provide you with the perfect chance to relax in a beautiful and inspiring setting and enjoy some quality personal time away from the pressures of everyday life.

By spending two days at our studio you will learn the basic of stencil based screen printmaking technique, lino print making, drawing fluid technique and discussion of photographic emulsion stencils for screen printing.Following subjects are covered during the course:

• How to explore ideas for creating images
• How to create paper stencils
• Creating a repeating pattern
• Tools, equipments and useful books
• How to choose the right lino board and blades
• How to transfer your design onto the lino board
• How to carve through the lino board
• How to transfer your design onto fabric
• How to use drawing fluid and screen filler to create stencils for screen making
• Discuss how a photographic emulsion stencil is made
• Supplier's list and trade account
• How to set up an workshop and market your products
• Plenty of professional tips and hints

Designs are printed on cotton or linen fabrics using eco friendly water based inks. After drying and heat setting, the fabrics can be used for any project you desire.
